The Traffic Management Plan (TMP) is a project-specific document written on behalf of the prime contractor and subject to approval by the road authority. It provides a detailed strategy on workers’ protection during the project as well as the safe and efficient passage of road users through and/or around the work zone.
The Traffic Management Plan will focus on one or more sub-plans, such as the Traffic Control Plan, Incident Management Plan, Public Information Plan, and Implementation Plan. The Traffic Management Plan is essential for identifying and addressing site-specific issues and project requirements.
